Fine Wine Manager, Northern Vermont
Kevin is one of our Fine Wine Managers at Baker Distributing, covering the northern portion of the state and our in-house wine trainer and educator. He holds a Diploma from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust in London. The WSET Diploma is the world’s highest wine certification, short of Master of Wine and Master Sommelier. Kevin is also a French Wine Scholar and Italian Wine Scholar and holds Master Level Certifications in Bordeaux, Provence, and Languedoc-Roussillon. Kevin is a member of the Society of Wine Educators, a fellow of the Institute of Wine and Spirits, and a WSET and Wine Scholar Guild Certified Wine Educator. He also owns and operates the Vermont Wine School. The Vermont Wine School is the premier source for wine education in Northern New England since 2011. He teaches the WSET courses as well as the French and Italian Wine Scholar courses and conducts private and corporate wine events.
With his knowledge and industry experience, Kevin is helping shape the world of Fine Wine in Vermont. Before coming to Baker, Kevin was in the restaurant business for 20 years. He and his wife owned the award-winning L’Amante Ristorante in Burlington which held a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for each of its’ 13 years in operation. They also owned Vin Wine Bar & Shop, also in Burlington.
