It’s that time of year again! The second annual Vermont Beer Week is taking over the entire state and coming to various bars, restaurants, and breweries, to give you the ultimate beer drinking experience with tastings, giveaways, special releases, parties, beer festivals and more!

During Vermont Beer Week, 50% of all proceeds raised will be donated to the Vermont Food Bank for the second year in a row.

If you like craft beer and you’re in Vermont this week, then you are one lucky beer drinker! This week is jam packed with beer tastings, tap takeovers, special releases, and one of the VT’s biggest events of the year, the Vermont Brewers Festival.

We are excited to announce the following events:

Wednesday, July 13th: Barrel-Aged Release Party at the Magic Hat Brewery. From 6-8pm, Magic Hat Brewing is releasing their aged ale from the depths of their brewery. While you sip, you’ll also be able to sway to the soulful sounds of Joshua Panda while you nosh on local grub. Magic Hat brewers will also be on hand to talk about the beer, its inspiration, and its influence on the future.

Wee Heavy Champ is a Scotch Ale brewed for the love of Lake Champlain. Magic Hat teamed up with the Lake Champlain Committee for this release, pledging them their time and resources, to help them continue to protect our lake’s environmental integrity. During this event, $1 from each beer served will benefit the Lake Champlain Committee.

Thursday, July 14th: Lord Hobo – Meet & Greet w/ Brewery Owner Daniel Lanigan at the Worthy Burger. Head to the Worthy Burger in South Royalton, VT from 3-8pm, sip on some tasty Lord Hobo draughts (Boom Sauce – IPA, Steal this Can – IPA & Hobo Life – Session IPA) & chat with the owner of the Lord Hobo Brewing Company.

Thursday, July 14th: Allagash Brewing Company Tap Takeover at Hotel Vermont. Head to Hotel Vermont in downtown Burlington from 6-11pm for a tap tap takeover, featuring a variety of delicious, hard-to-find specialty Allagash beers.

Thursday, July 14th: VT Tap Takeover at the Farmhouse Tap & Grill. Come to the Farmhouse Tap & Grill at 5pm to help Allagash Brewing Company celebrate the start of the Vermont Brewers Fest. 14 Allagash brews will be on draught!!

Thursday, July 14th: The Courtyard Summer Music Series at Halvorson’s Upstreet Cafe. From 8-11pm, head to Halvorson’s outdoor courtyard & listen to the smooth sounds of the Audrey Bernstein quartet while you sip on tasty Switchback Brewing beer specials!

Friday, July 15th: Allagash Brewing Tap Takeover at Bleu Northeast Seafood. Head to Bleu Northeast Seafood restaurant from 6-11pm for an evening featuring tasty Allagash Brewing draughts & specials.

Friday, July 15th: Founders Brewing Beer Event at the Scuffer Tap & Table. Head to the Scuffer at 10pm sharp for the tapping of the only CBS draft in the state! The CBS (Canadian Breakfast Stout), is brewed with chocolate and coffee that’s been aged in maple syrup bourbon barrels (10.6% abv).

Friday, July 15th – Saturday, July 16th: The Annual Vermont Brewers Festival! One of the biggest summer events in Burlington located at the Waterfront park. This festival celebrates Artisan Craft Beer and the Brewers who brew them. Please Note: There are still sessions available for the Friday: Session 1, beginning at 12 noon! Lastly, is beer isn’t your thing, there’s another fun event happening in Southern Vermont. It’s the Killington Wine Festival, taking place Friday, July 15th – Saturday, July 16th!

Do you like celebrating artisan craft beers & the brewers who brew them? If you answered yes, then the annual Vermont Brewers Festival is the place to be next weekend, July 17th & 18th at the Burlington waterfront park! The Vermont Brewers Festival is celebrating more than twenty years of artisan craft beer making and is one of the most highly anticipated events of the summer. This festival is put on by the Vermont Brewers Association and the purpose of the event is to promote the amazing craft brewing scene in Vermont and beyond.

This year’s festival features over 40 different breweries from all over the state of Vermont, as well as Maine, New Hampshire, Quebec & Massachusetts. Some of the Vermont breweries include:

    • Berlinerweisse (3.0% 20 IBU) Brewed with our house Ale yeast and Lactobacillus producing this hazy, spritzy, straw colored beer with a clean lactic sourness.

  • Mint Chocolate Stout (4.5% 30 IBU) Served with a fresh sprig of spearmint. Features freshly roasted Madagascar cocoa nibs from Lake Champlain Chocolates blended with fresh mint.
  • The V.I.P.A. (5.5% 75 IBU) A true Vermont IPA! Hopped exclusively with Vermont grown nugget hops from the UVM Extension Vermont Hops Project in Alburgh, VT.
  • Berlinerweisse (4.0% 8 IBU) A cloudy, wheaty, very sour tart style of wheat beer. Sour mashed and brewed using over 50% wheat malt. Light, tart, and thirst quenching.

The Stoweflake Hot Air Balloon Festival has earned a reputation for being one of Stowe’s most highlighted summer events. Over the years, the festival has grown and next weekend, it marks its 29th anniversary! The Killington Wine Festival “has earned a reputation for being one of the Killington’s region’s signature summer events”. Entering into its 14th year, the festival has expanded over the years, and currently features more than 500 wines from a vast collection of over 40 vineyards from all over the world. This year’s festival will be taking place in July on Friday, the 17th & Saturday, the 18th. If you are still in the Killington area on Sunday the 19th, a “Wine & Nine Golf Tournament” will be taking place for you to round out your weekend!

So let’s talk about the details….

Estate Wine Tasting, Killington Peak Lodge, Friday, July 17, 6:00pm

This night includes a scenic gondola ride to kick off the Killington Wine Festival at the Killington Peak Lodge for an exclusive estate wine tasting. You’ll have the opportunity to meet and talk to the vintners and representatives behind the weekend’s wines and enjoy some of the best views in Vermont. This ticket includes light hors d’oeuvres. Tickets cost $85/person and you can purchase them here.

Wine Trail, Killington Road, Friday, July 17th, 6:00pm-10:00pm

Multiple restaurants along the Killington Road will transform into ‘tasting rooms’ to feature a special wine, or a food and wine pairing. These specials will take place on Friday from 6:00pm-10:00pm at various restaurants on the Killington road. Each of these stops along the way will showcase a different wine or wine portfolio paired with various edibles including gourmet cheeses, Italian tapas and desserts. There is free transportation provided between restaurants and will be available from 6-10pm. Gramps’ Shuttle will be providing the scheduled pick-ups. Please call 802-558-1543 to schedule a pick-up 30 minutes in advance.

The Grand Tasting, Roaring Brook Umbrella Bar, Saturday, July 28th, 1:00-4:00pm

The Grand tasting is at Killington Resort’s K1 Base Area & Roaring Brook Umbrella Bars under a large, festive tent from 1-4pm. This is the “premier event of the Killington Wine Festival”. You’ll have the chance to choose from over 400 wines from 40 different wineries for your sampling pleasure. Pair your wine with complementary hors d’oeuvres and samples of Vermont specialty products. The scenic Green Mountains will be your backdrop, so why not enjoy a round trip ride on the K1 gondola to the top of Killington Peak. Tickets include a signature tote bag and wine glass as well as the round trip gondola ride on the K1 Express. Tickets are $65/person and you can purchase them here.

Wine and Nine Golf Tournament, Green Mountain National Golf Course, Sunday, July 19th, 2:30pm

Round out your Killington Wine Festival Weekend with the perfect conclusion. Nine holes of fun scramble golf, an assortment of delicious wines and a gourmet dinner to finish off the evening. You can sign-up as a team or as a single and you’ll have the chance to enjoy a great day of golfing! The cost is $65 per player ($55 for GMNGC Members), which includes golf, cart, dinner and some fabulous prizes. $45 for the dinner and wine tasting only. Space is limited, so call and sign-up today! Upgrade Your Wine Festival Experience

Wine Festival Patron Ticket is perfect for those planning to attend Friday’s Estate Tasting and Saturday’s Grand Tasting. This money saving ticket includes entry to the Estate Wine Tasting and also allows VIP early admission to the Grand Tasting on Saturday. This artsy farm, food, music & art festival is new this year and promises a spectacular mixture of delicious, farm-fresh food and eclectic music. Set at the gorgeous Burlington College campus, you’ll be able to enjoy your music and food with a stunning view of Lake Champlain.

Enjoy food from Fork in the Road, Bluebird Group, Barrio Bakery, Hen of the Wood, Kismet Kitchen, Misery Loves Company, Woodbelly Pizza, and Hindquater. Each restaurant has paired up with a local farm to bring fresh ingredients to the festival.

Listen to music from Lee Fields, Patrick Watson, Moon Hooch, Shakey Graves, The Barr Brothers, Kishi Bashi, Anais Mitchell, How Sad, Barika, Big Bhangra Brass Ensemble, and much more.

Along with the amazing food and music there will be a variety of speakers, farmers, entertainers, activities for kids, and more to keep you busy during the two days of the festival.

Mount Snow Brewer’s Fest: August 30-31 at Mt. Snow Resort in Dover, VT Get Tickets Here.

This popular Brewer’s Fest is celebrating it’s 18th year and is famous for great beer, interesting music, fun crowds and more. This year, the festival will be hosting more than 35 breweries with 80 different varieties of beer and cider.

Drink as much beer as you like while taking in the gorgeous Southern Vermont scenery. There will be Scenic Chairlift Rides available and a Team Tee Shirt Contest. The team with the best tee shirts win free passes to the Winter Brewers Fest in April. This event is worth a trip down south and there is plenty of lodging in the area. Get Tickets Here.

Grand Point North Festival: September 13-14 at Waterfront Park in Burlington, VT Get Tickets Here.

This local music festival highlights bands that are easy to dance to and great for the entire family. Enjoy music from Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Trampled by Turtles, Lake Street Dive, The Devil Makes three, Dr. John, The War on Drugs, Lucius, Rayland Baxter, and much more.
