Stowe, Vermont is the place to be this Saturday, as hundreds of runners and walkers will be joining the Craft Brew Race. Participants will compete in the 5k road race, which is then followed by a local craft beer festival. The post race beer festival will take place immediately after the race featuring 30+ breweries, including some of our favorite brands such as, Sam Adams, Switchback Brewing Company, Infinity Brewing, 1st Republic Brewing, Otter Creek Brewing,Magic Hat Brewing Company, and for the non-beer drinkers, Woodchuck Cider. Sounds like a good time, right? Well, what are you waiting for? Register now and join the fun, however, all participants have to be 21+ to do so!
Now that you know what the event is all about, let’s get into the details, so you can be totally prepared for when the big day arrives! A list of FAQ’s is provided below, so you can know what is happening at the race and craft beer festival:
1. Where is the Stowe Craft Brew Race taking place?
The race will be hosted by The Stoweflake Mountain Resort & Spa.
2. When does the race take place and when does it start?
The race will be held on Saturday, May 30th. The race will begin at 12:00pm and the festival will take place from 12:30pm to 4:00pm.
3. Who can participate in the race?
The Craft Brew Races is for runners and walkers who love local craft beer. All participants must be 21+ to run the race. The post-race Brew Festival is open to 21+ race participants, OR anyone wishing to purchase a Festival Only ticket or Designated Driver ticket.
4. How do you register and how much does it cost?
You can register as an individual or a team. To register online as an individual or as a team, sign-up here. Every race and festival has an early bird, regular, and on-site price based on the date of the event. Each individual city participating has a page for you to view the specific pricing.
5. Are there awards given out after the race?
Yes, the top three male and female finishers will receive a Craft Brew Races branded award. For team awards, a 1.0 Liter Bavarian beer mug will be awarded to the Largest Team, Largest Brewery and Fastest Teams.
6. What do you get?
You will get entry into the 5k Brew Run and post-race Brew Festival, an official pint glass (or other branded promotional items where glass prohibited), Finisher’s medal, Live music, & Food vendors will be selling at each event
7. If you don’t want to run, can you still join the event?
There is a Brew Fest and Designated Driver ticket available for each event, so sleep in then show up for the festival!
8. Do you need you ID for the event?
Yes, you will need your ID in order to receive your 21+ bracelet when you pick up your race bib prior to the race. The bracelet must be worn during the race and presented for entry into the Festival. Also, festival only and designated driver participants must present their ID at the gate of the Brew Festival following the race.
