Happy St. Patrick’s Day from the Baker family to yours! In honor of one of our favorite holidays we have compiled three classic Irish recipes all made using Bakers Irish brands of course!

First up is Smithwick’s Irish Beer and Cheese bread! This bread is hearty enough to be a meal in itself but we prefer it as a before dinner snack or paired it with eggs and bacon for a filling breakfast.

Just because the holidays have ended doesn’t mean you should sacrifice all the good food, sweet treats & yummy cocktails (even if that was your resolution – we all deserve cheat days.) If you’re anything like us then you probably have a lot of leftover beverages from the holidays and we want to help you put them to good use. That is why we found three tasty recipes that incorporate your favorite Baker brands – and if you don’t have these drinks on hand all it takes is quick trip to the market for these recipes to come alive!

Enjoy an all-day event filled with sunshine (hopefully, you know Vermont’s weather can be so unpredictable), live music, art, food trucks, brewer-lead tours, and specialty beer to sip on in the outdoor beer garden.

Not only is this event filled with fantastic Vermont artists, beer makers and local food providers, it’s also an event to recognize the amazing Vermont music industry. Magic Hat is once again teaming up with Big Heavy World, to help support local music! A $5 donation to Big Heavy World at the door will get you access to this glorious day of fun.

Big Heavy World is a Burlington-based non-profit established to preserve the historical record of music originating in Vermont; to create economic opportunity for Vermont’s musicians and the industries vital to them; to develop community among Vermont musicians and their patrons; and to accomplish this mission in a substance-free environment that empowers and educates youth.

Heavyfest will feature an incredible musical lineup, featuring performaces by  Gang of Thieves, Dwight & Nicole, Jimkata, Michelle Sarah Band and Casio Bastard!

While you’re enjoying the scene, enjoy food from Taco Truck Allstars & Dolce VT. Also, be sure to watch local artist and tattooer extraordinaire, Jason Tooth , rocking a live art expo to create a masterpiece!
Lastly, an appearance by the non-partisan voter registration organization, HeadCount, is also expected at this year’s Heavyfest. “Magic Hat and HeadCount have collaborated many times over the years in getting people registered to vote through the brewer’s quadrennial Participation campaign. Unregistered voters are encouraged to visit the HeadCount table where volunteers can register them so that they may participate fully in America’s democratic process.” Have Fun. Drink Beer. Support Your Local Artisits. Don’t forget to vote!
