The Joseph Schlitz Brewing Company was an American Brewery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin founded in 1849. Pabst Blue Ribbon bought the Schlitz brand in 1999. Schlitz was known as “The beer that made Milwaukee famous” and at one point was the largest beer producer in the U.S. Schlitz is a light and crisp beer with a touch of sweetness. It’s brewed with a blend of Cascade, Mt. Hood and Willamette hops. Schlitz is American-style light lager that has 4.6% alcohol by volume.
